Check Your Browser:

Make sure you browser is up to date with the following browser check.

Canvas Tier 1 Support

If you run into any trouble using Canvas, please contact Tier 1 Support directly. Tier 1 Support is located under the Help menu (question mark icon) on the black navigation bar. You can call, email, or chat directly with a support person. Support is available 24/7, 365 days a year.

Campus Technology Services

If you are having trouble with one of your UW-Parkside accounts (Rangermail, Solar, etc.), please contact the Tech Bar right away. The Tech Bar is located on the main concourse in Wyllie Hall (across from the library), or you can call them directly at 262-595-2444. Visit the website for Tech Bar service hours.

Kaltura

UW-Parkside has a tool called Kaltura that allows you to record your computer screen, webcam, and/or microphone. Once you've made a recording, it gets uploaded to a place called My Media, and you can link to your media files from that menu (on the navigation bar and under Account on the black navigation bar).

Please review the Kaltura resources to familiarize yourself with the tool:

Kaltura Capture Recording - https://kb.uwp.edu/86012.

Kaltura Personal Capture - https://kb.uwp.edu/90264.

Zoom

Zoom is UW-Parkside's video-conferencing software. You can access Zoom via the Canvas course navigation bar and/or the campus logins page.

Turnitin

Turnitin is UW-Parkside's anti-plagiarism software. When a student submits an assignment to a folder that has Turnitin enabled, they will receive an originality score for their work.

Turnitin is less about catching plagiarism and more about ensuring that students understand how to properly cite the sources they use. Please make sure you understand how to review your originality report. Anything flagged excessively will be reviewed.
