How to save your Virtual Lab files

Because local file storage is unavailable in the virtual lab environment, users must save their files to one of the following locations:

  • UW-Parkside *(H:) drive
  • Microsoft One Drive
  • External storage device (USB drive, portable hard drive, etc.)
  • Send file via email

*When logged into the virtual environment, all of the Parkside network drives, including the your (H:) drive will be listed under "My Computer". The (H:) drive will have your UW-Parkside NetID attached to it.

Example of (H:) drive naming convention:

IMPORTANT: If a file is saved to the local "virtual" desktop, it will be permanently deleted once the user logs out of the virtual environment.
