Unscheduled Outages & Known Issues
Canvas Outage Update - Friday, May 8, 2026
Canvas access was restored at approximately 8:00 AM this morning. Additional outage information will be provided as soon as possible. If you have additional questions and/or are in need of technical assistance, please contact the CTS Tech Bar at (262) 595-2444 or email servicedesk@uwp.edu.
Out of an abundance of caution, we ask students and instructors to take the following steps:
- Review your Canvas account activity and immediately report any unusual or suspicious behavior to Campus Technology Services (CTS) at servicedesk@uwp.edu.
- Export and securely back up Canvas data as a precautionary measure. Instructions are available here: Students: Canvas – Exporting Canvas Data | Instructors: Canvas – Exporting Course Data.
Important: If Canvas prompts you to take any unexpected action — including clicking links, logging in again, resetting your password, or completing unfamiliar tasks — do not proceed. Instead, contact CTS immediately for guidance.
We will provide an update at 3:00 PM this afternoon.

Canvas Outage - Thursday, May 7, 2026
UW-Parkside is currently experiencing a service outage affecting access to Canvas. This issue is impacting all University of Wisconsin campuses at this time. UW System Administration is actively engaged in addressing the matter with the appropriate support teams. We understand the disruption this may cause to teaching, learning, and campus operations, and we appreciate your patience as work continues to restore service.
We will provide an update as soon as more information becomes available.
