Why Should I Fill Out My Course Evaluations?
It's the end of the semester and you have papers to write and finals to study for. Why should you even bother taking the time to fill out your course evaluations?
Here are three good reasons why!
It Helps You
Filling out a course evaluation gives you an opportunity to reflect on your progress throughout the course.
- What have you learned?
- How far have you come?
- What parts of the class appealed to you?
- Which parts did not?
Being thoughtful about your course experience as the semester comes to an end can help you make better decisions when selecting classes in the future or when exploring options for a major.
It Helps Your Instructors
Thoughtful course evaluations help instructors identify what is working in a course, and, perhaps even more importantly, what could use improvement. The more details you're able to provide in the course evaluations written comments section, the more information your instructor has to work with as they refine future iterations of the course.
Even more reason why your input is crucial to the successful growth and development of UW-Parkside courses!
It Helps Your Peers
Not only does your input help improve UW-Parkside courses, but your course evaluations can also assist your peers in making good decisions when they are selecting courses in the future.
Your semester course evaluations represent both your right to have your voice heard and your responsibility to the university and your peers.
