Beware of recent phishing attempts!

Please use caution when reviewing messages related to student refunds, financial aid disbursements, or pending payment confirmations.

These phishing messages may appear to come from trusted sources such as Canvas, Instructure, Financial Aid, a UW-Parkside email account, or other university services. recently reported fraudulent message appeared to originate from notifications@instructure.com.

Similar messages may also use other sender addresses, attachments, links, or QR codes to appear legitimate. The goal of these messages is to trick recipients into providing sensitive information, including usernamespasswordsstudent ID numbersMFA information, or banking details through fake forms or websites.

Do not click links, scan QR codes, open attachments, or otherwise interact with unexpected refund or financial aid messages. If you have questions about your financial aid status, contact the UW-Parkside Financial Aid Office directly at finaid@uwp.edu or by phone at 262-595-2574. 

REMEMBER... UW-Parkside will never ask for your password or MFA information through email, documents, QR codes, or online forms.
