CommonSpot - Faculty Highlight Fader (Bootstrap Only)
How to add a faculty highlight fader to a CommonSpot bootstrap layout.
The main fields for this widget are:
- Heading
- Instructor Profile Link
- Profile Image
- Profile Description
Heading: Title displayed at the top of the widget.
Instructor Profile Link: Used for linking to the department faculty AIM profiles.
To create the link to the department profiles
- Grab the department title from: https://www.uwp.edu/learn/instructorprofiles/#1
Copy the title exactly, make sure to include spaces and commas.
- Select the link and create a new unregistered URL, the base for the URL will be /learn/instructorprofiles/?sDepartment=
- Add the department title you copied from the AIM listing page to the end of this base URL. If we wanted to link to the HESM department AIM profiles, the unregistered URL would be:
/learn/instructorprofiles/?sDepartment=Health, Exercise Science and Sport Management
Profile Image: Image used for the faculty profile. This image should be sized at 640x480 px.
Profile Description: This is the field contains the main content for the highlight.
Profile Image and Description are repeated 8 times, allowing up to 8 faculty profiles to be contained in each fader widget.
