GlobalProtect VPN - Mobile Devices (iOS, Android)
The purpose of this article is to provide instructions on downloading and using GlobalProtect VPN on mobile devices, including iOS and Android phones.
Apple iPhone (iOS) Devices
Installing GlobalProtect from the App Store
- On your iOS device, open the App Store
- Search for GlobalProtect
- Tap Get and follow the typical process for installing an iOS app
- Once installed, open the GlobalProtect app. In the portal address field, enter vpn.uwp.edu > tap CONNECT.
- When prompted, Allow GlobalProtect to add VPN configurations on your iOS device
- Login/authenticate via Okta MFA. Enter your UW-Parkside Username > Click Next.
- Enter your UW-Parkside Password > Click Verify.
- Choose your preferred security method > Click Select.
- Verify your authentication/login.
Click on the Yes, It's Me button. - You are now connected!
To disconnect, tap the Shield Icon (TAP TO DISCONNECT)
Android (Samsung, Google Pixel, LG, Motorola, Sony, etc)
Note: These instructions were made using a Samsung S22 Ultra. Due to the nature of Android devices, some of these instructions are subject to change based on Android version, manufacturer, and customization of interface. Installing GlobalProtect from the Play Store
- On your Android device, open the Play Store
- Search for GlobalProtect
- Tap Install and follow the typical process for installing an Android app
- Once installed, open the GlobalProtect app. In the portal address field, enter vpn.uwp.edu > tap CONNECT.
- When prompted, tap OK to allow GlobalProtect to set up VPN connections on your Android device
- Login/authenticate via Okta MFA. Enter your UW-Parkside Username > Click Next.
- Enter your UW-Parkside Password > Click Verify.
- Choose your preferred security method > Click Select.
- Verify your authentication/login.
Click on the Yes, It's Me button. - You are now connected!
To disconnect, tap the Shield Icon (TAP TO DISCONNECT)
