Instructional Continuity Guide for Teaching & Learning

Instructional Continuity refers to the continuation of course instruction in the event the campus is closed for an extended period of time. This resource contains a list of best practices/steps for UW-Parkside instructors on how to continue with course instruction online during campus closings.

Extended campus closures and course cancellations can occur as a result of inclement weather, widespread illness, unexpected events, etc. In the event of a campus closure, instructors should be prepared to adapt their instruction to accommodate for online course delivery.

Online Communication

Online course delivery options

There are several options to continue instruction in the event of a campus closure. These can include synchronous class sessions, asynchronous activities such as readings, recorded lectures, threaded discussions, and other possibilities.
