Submitting a Collaborate Ultra URL to a Canvas Assignment

This document explains how to submit a Blackboard Collaborate Ultra recording to a Canvas Assignment.

One of the submission types for Canvas Assignments includes URL submissions, meaning you turn in a website link rather than a physical document. If you are asked to submit a Collaborate Ultra recording to a Canvas Assignment, you will first need to get the URL from the Collaborate Ultra recording. To learn how to get the Collaborate Ultra URL, please read this KnowledgeBase document before continuing.

Once you have copied the Collaborate Ultra URL, you will need to go to the specific Assignment within Canvas:

Assignments tab Canvas

When you open the Assignment you will see that the submission type is a website url.

Once you've submitted your URL using the Submit Assignment button, you will be taken back to the main Assignment page. At the far right of the page you will be able to see that you have confirmation of your submitted assignment, and the option to view the Submission Details using the green hyperlink:

If you open the Submission Details page you will get a preview of the URL you submitted. When you submit a Blackboard Collaborate Ultra URL, it will load as a preview within the page:
