Early Access Email Template [Online Instructor]

Dear Instructor,

We appreciate your willingness to teach online during the [Semester/Year].

Before the semester begins, we wanted to make you aware of a new Content module that has been created in D2L for your convenience.

The Online Resources module is designed to house all of the resources that online students may need in one convenient location. This module will be uniform across all online D2L courses, meaning that students will always be able to find the support they are looking for in the same place.

By creating this support module, we also ensure that we are providing students with the most up-to-date information we have available. The Innovations in Learning team will be responsible for keeping the module updated, meaning it will require no work on your end. We simply ask that you allow us to keep this module in your course, so students will have access to the numerous resources available to them.

The Online Resources module offers information on: D2L, the Technology Help Desk, Library research help, NetTutor, and accessibility resources.

We will also be opening all online courses prior to the official semester start date to allow students the opportunity to log into D2L and get acquainted with the learning management system.
All online courses will be available to students one week early. If you do not want your students to view particular elements of your course early, we encourage you to either put those items in draft mode, or use date restrictions. However, the Online Resources module must remain open for students.

 Thank you,

 The Innovations in Learning Team
