Office 365 Online - What's Included?
This document goes over the features included in the online version of Office 365.
UW-Parkside Facutly, Staff and Students have access to
Office 365 for
free using their UW-Parkside email accounts. To access the online version, simply log into your
RangerMail account and click on the app launcher in the top left corner of your email.
From there you'll see all of your options included in Office 365 Online.
Outlook is your standard email view. When you log into
RangerMail, this is your default page.
Calendar allows you to create appointments and set reminders for things. You can also share calendars with other users.
People is your email's directory. There you can find a list of your contacts and organize them by group.
Newsfeed allows for easy collaboration with your peers. You can follow threads and start conversations about any topic.
OneDrive is your free storage unit. You have one terabyte of storage space for documents, images, and more.
Sites allows you to build team sites and document libraries for collaborating with groups.
Tasks makes it easy to keep track of things you need to accomplish. You can add items to your list to organize what needs to get done when.
Word Online* is the online version of Microsoft Word.
Excel Online* is the online version of Microsoft Excel.
PowerPoint Online* is the online version of Microsoft PowerPoint.
OneNote Online is the online version of the OneNote app. OneNote is a digital notebook that allows you to keep track of your notes and ideas. OneNote syncs across platforms, so your notes will stay updated whether you're using the web app or the downloaded app on one of your devices.
*Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Online have all of the same great features that come with the regular programs, just in a web version. The only difference is that your files are stored on your OneDrive, instead of on your computer itself.
As long as you have access to your UW-Parkside email account, you'll be able to take advantage of all of these great, free, Microsoft features.
