How to set up an APPOINTMENT CAMPAIGN AUTOMATION for newly admitted, transfer students who have been admitted to traditional degree programs. Please Note: Students who have been admitted to accelerated online programs will be involved in a separate appointment campaign automation.

This automation will:

  • Auto-add students to your appointment campaign; and it will
  • Auto-send your campaign message, email nudges, and text nudges

This is an easy three step process:

  1. Save V3 Report
  2. Build Appointment Campaign
  3. Create Automation

Save V3 Report

Start with the V3 Report. 

After logging in to Navigate, use V3 filters for "F25 Newly Admitted New Transfer Traditional Degree Programs"

Confirm that the filters are accurate. Adjust the filters, if needed.

Remember to check the box labeled: Include My Students Only.

Click Run Report. Look at the results and check to see if things seem accurate.

Write down one of the Student ID numbers, from the results. We will be using this Student ID number when we build the appointment campaign.

Next, click Save As then Name and Save the Report.

We will be using this saved report for a piece of the automation.


Appointment Campaign

Let’s build the appointment campaign.

After logging in to Navigate, click the Campaigns & Events icon located on the left navigation bar.

In the Appointment Campaigns Area, click Add New.

Add the campaign configurations, then click Continue.

Add one Student ID number from your V3 Report; and then continue with the campaign configurations.

When you reach the Compose Nudges screen, please, add a welcome message, a text nudge and email nudges. Type your own message/nudges; or use/edit content templates.

Message/Nudge Timeline:

  • Welcome Message (today's date)
  • Text Nudge (Relative Date: 1)
  • Email Nudge (Relative Date: 7)
  • Email Nudge (Relative Date: 14)

    Create Automation

    View these instructions to learn how to create an automation for newly admitted, transfer students who have been admitted to traditional degree programs.


    Click the Reporting icon, located on the left Navigation bar.

    Next, locate the saved report that you just created -- the report for newly admitted transfer students who were admitted to traditional degree programs.

    Click the hamburger menu (three horizonatl lines), the click Create Automation.

    Enter the automation details.

    Enter the Automation Name.

    Check the box labeled Automation is active

    The V3 Report that you just created should auto-populate into the IF field

    Select Add to Appointment Campaign in the THEN field.

    Keep the Omit initial matches box unchecked.

    Select the Appointment Campaign that you just created in the Select Campaign field.

    Select the Automation Schedule.

    Select the Automation Frequency: Daily.

    Click Save Automation.

    Enter the automation details.

    And that is how you set up an APPOINTMENT CAMPAIGN AUTOMATION for newly admitted, transfer students who have been admitted to traditional degree programs.
