Getting Started with Zoom in Canvas

Information and resources to help you get started with Zoom in your Canvas course.

If you'd like to test Zoom in a Canvas course, it is recommended that instructors set up a Zoom "Sandbox Course". If testing Zoom in an actual course, enrolled students may receive test meeting notifications. Scheduling a Zoom Meeting in Canvas

When you schedule a Zoom meeting in Canvas, it will appear on the course Calendar and the student To Do List
  1. From your course navigation, click Zoom.

  2. Click Schedule a New Meeting.

  3. Enter date, time, duration, time zone, etc.

Note: You also have the option to change or append the Topic line. By default, it is the name of the course.
