How to Move Files from the VDI to Your PC Using OneDrive
NOTE: The VDI is typically only available on-campus. Using the VDI in the web browser is intended for certain students who need access to certain software. If you have been instructed to use Horizon but do not know if you have access, please send us an e-mail to CTSHelpDesk@uwp.edu.
- When you are ready to save a document in the VDI, begin by saving it to the Desktop.
In the VDI window, open your web browser of choice (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, etc.) and load up your RangerMail.
Once logged into your RangerMail, click the icon at the top-left corner of the screen to bring down your Office Apps menu. From here, select “OneDrive”. The OneDrive webpage will open.
Drag the saved file from your VDI Desktop into the desired folder to add it to your OneDrive.
Minimize your VDI window and check OneDrive on your computer. You will now be able to save the file and close out the VDI, when done.
