TechBar - How to send a delayed email in Outlook & Outlook 365 online (rangermail)
Outlook supports sending of delayed emails (i.e. emails automatically in the future rather than immediately). Follow the appropriate guide below to set up a delayed delivery to an email:
Outlook Desktop
For replying to emails, an extra step is required as the setting to delay delivery of emails is not available from this menu.
Click 'Pop out' to open the reply menu in a new window.
From here, delaying delivery is identical for both replying to an email and creating a new email.
Click on the button on the ribbon titled 'Options', and then click 'Delay Delivery'
This will bring up a new menu like the one below:
To delay delivery of your reply/email, ensure the box labeled 'Do not deliver before' is checked. Set your desired date and time to send the email in the future. The email will then send as soon as possible after the time set.
Note: if you go off network and the time passes, the email will send as soon as you come back online, provided that outlook is open.
Outlook 365 Online (Rangermail)
The process for sending a delayed email Outlook 365 is identical for both reply and new emails.
Simply type up your email as normal and click the ˅ chevron arrow next to 'Send' button, then click Send Later.
A window will then pop up prompting you to enter a date and time of which you would like your email to send. Then, just click send.
