How to Download Files From Adobe Creative Cloud
This article contains information on how to download Adobe Creative Cloud files and Adobe Document Cloud files to a computer or external storage device.
What is Adobe Creative Cloud file storage?
- Creative cloud is a cloud storage service integrated with Adobe creative applications like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and more.
What is Adobe Document Cloud?
- Document Cloud is a cloud storage service by Adobe integrated with Acrobat, intended for working with PDFs.
The download process will vary slightly, depending on the file type (Creative Cloud Assets, Document Cloud, or Lightroom photos).
Using the Creative Cloud Desktop App
This is the most direct way to download multiple files at once.
- Open the Creative Cloud desktop app and select the Files tab in the left sidebar.
- Click the three-dot menu (...) in the upper right and select Download to choose a local save location.

To download multiple files at once, click the checkbox for each file you want to download. Note: that the desktop app typically allows selecting up to 10 files at a time.
Using the Adobe Web Interface
If you prefer not to use the desktop app, you can manage assets through a browser.
- Go to https://assets.adobe.com and sign in.
- Hover over a file and click the checkbox in the top-left corner to select it. Once selected, click the three dots in the top right and select Download.

Backing Up Specific Asset Types
Creative Cloud Libraries
- Open the desktop app, go to Files > Your libraries.
- Hover over a library, and select Export. This will save the entire library as a .cclibs file.
Adobe Document Cloud (PDFs)
- Log in to https://acrobat.adobe.com.
- Select your documents.
- Click the three dot menu (...) and select Download.
Lightroom Photos
- Open the Lightroom desktop app (not Classic)
- Navigate to All Photos.
- Press Ctrl+A (Windows) or Cmd+A (Mac) to select all, and choose File > Export.
