What is Okta?

Okta Multi-factor Authentication is a security solution that offers more flexibility and an improved user experience when authenticating into campus applications. 6. Allow the Okta Verify app to use your mobile device's camera to scan the QR code displayed on the separate device.

    7. Decline biometric authentication for your account. (UW-Parkside CTS does not provide support or storage for biometric authentication data or methods. This includes, but is not limited to: Face ID, Thumbprint scanners, Windows Hello, voice recognition software, and retinal/olfactory sensory devices).

    8. Setup an SMS capable phone number as a password recovery option*

    9. Setup a secondary email account as a password recovery option.*

*While these steps are technically optional, if you have not set up a secondary email account, smartphone, or other SMS capable mobile device as password recovery options, there will be no alternative email or phone number to receive password recovery links. It is highly recommended to establish one or, preferably, both for your account.

With these steps completed, you have successfully enrolled your device in Okta Verify.
